PRESIDENTIAL LETTER: The 2008 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

Dear APPPAH Members,
Thank you so much for your membership in APPPAH! Your support sustains this organization and its vision.
Prenatal and perinatal information is now out in the mainstream. It has moved into the consciousness of many people, and consequently, our vision is changing the births and lives of a new generation. This has all happened because of YOU.
The wisdom of our founders has finally reached fruition and we are now in a new phase of growth. Our total membership number has hovered around 400 for quite a while. It is my goal to double our membership by the end of 2008 and double it again in 2009! There is strength in numbers, and our greatest asset is our membership.
The financial support of your membership will help us accomplish goals that will further our mission. For example, redesign of the APPPAH website, introducing a Members Only section for discussion and support, integrating technology to a greater degree, partnering with other organizations, and supporting more educational opportunities including regional ones. In addition, we would like to have a greater presence in the public policy arena. We are ready to put the archives of the Journal online for your research. You have made possible our readiness to assume an even greater leadership role.
What I am asking of you is to encourage just one friend or colleague to join APPPAH. There are so many fellow travelers that are not in our membership and we need them now. Teachers are especially invited to reach out to students as they are the future heralds of the APPPAH message.
In appreciation for your time in sharing your enthusiasm about our organization and its work, you will be offered a $15 discount on your 2009 International Congress registration for each new member who identifies you as their referral source on their membership registration form.
