Greetings!
The 2003 Congress focused on the combined impact of early developmental and environmental factors on the health of our connections with others.
The quality and continuance of these vital attachments through pregnancy, birth and infancy shape brain development and form a template for later relationship as well as for our psychological and physical wellness.
This Congress examined the full impact of medical management as it relates to the development of the brain, brain function and behavior. It also examined how traditional prenatal/perinatal care and high risk management affect the brain and behavior, attachment, and bonding. Finally, the 2003 Congress highlighted methods of preventing, diminishing and repairing attachment and bonding problems that may occur in traditional high-risk prenatal and intra-partum care..
